I'm Bringing Sexy (Platforms) Back

Part of the reason I love these shoe is because they are ridiculous.  It's a huge platform.  These heels will probably kill your feet.  And yet, on a night you want to look sexy, these shoes are probably the go-to pair to achieve that goal.

A word on overdoing sexy.  You can easily cross the sexy line into slutty town, so be careful.  Do you have a loose and flowy mini-dress?  A pair of shorts and a dressy ruffle top?  That's what should be paired with these heels.  Leave the super-tight Kelly Kapowski dress at home!

FRUGAL FIANCÉE: What Were They Thinking?

I had so many great titles for this post: "Knock That Off," "Copy Cath," and so on, but the dress is too bad for me to waste good puns on a title. I loved Kate Middleton's dress, I am excited about what the dress will inspire in bridal fashion, but wearing a cheap knock off version of the dress is not what I was looking for.

We all knew it would happen, Nordstrom's started carrying this one in record time and it isn't as cheap as it looks either, it's priced at $2,495. Even though I know I don't have to say it: Please don't buy this.

I was traveling last week, and I visited a variety of different climates (it was cold in San Francisco, but super hot in Vegas, and then a bit windy in wine country!)  But when I got back to New York, spring was in full force with summer full steam ahead.  That hot sunny weather with a beautiful breeze is why New Yorkers put up with our horrible winters...there is a light at the end of the tunnel!

This weather today, this beautiful BEAUTIFUL weather made me long for something vibrant and fun!  This dress did the trick.  It's a bold and summery color, and I love the cut-out in the back!

The one review says the buttons pull, and the way to avoid that?  Ding ding ding, order the right size :)

I can see how the idea of two dresses can make your head spin since just ONE costs an arm and a leg, so, what about a two-sie dress?
