A good special occasion bootie is hard to find!  It's because a bootie is inherently un-fancy.  So i'ts tough to find one that would fit well with your cocktail dress.

This suede one has the slightly tighter ankle ruching, and I have no idea why, but that one small style detail makes it appropriately for something like a cocktail party or a gala.  Close your eyes and imagine yourself in your favorite formal dress and these shoes and you'll see what I mean!
