FASHION DEAL DIVA: Guys Buys
I've gotten a few requests from gentlemen for a nice pair of high leg brown boots. This pair from Topman just went on sale and I love them. They simultaneously have a rugged feel while still being sophisticated and appropriate for certain dressier events.
This is also a good gateway boot (i.e. maybe you want to try boots but you don't know where to start!)

FASHION DEAL DIVA: True Fashion Grit
It's hard to cull any fashion fancy from anything worn by anyone in the film "true grit." And yet, something about these cowboy boots made me think of the movie. And something about this boot made me fall in love. It's the perfect height to pair with a mini and a peasant top (yes, they're coming back.)

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Guys Buys
Guess what? Yep, it snowed again in New York. And this morning, I had to shovel a 12 passenger van out of a foot and a half of snow. What did I notice while doing all that shoveling? That men wore sneakers to do this. SNEAKERS!
Boys, buy yourself some snow boots! It's January and it's snowing almost every day. At least let your feet be dry, warm and happy as you shovel out the snow!
Price: $79.99 (originally $110.00) from REI. Buy them here. If your size is sold out, they have them for $99.99 at Nordstrom, buy it here.

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Fashionable Snow Boots
I saw my mom yesterday, and you know what happens when you see your mom? She gives you stuff she thinks you need. In my case, it was decent snowboots.
Now I don't know if I've talked about this ever on the blog before, but I HATE UGGS. Actually, I don't think hate is a strong enough word to describe my feeling towards them. They are ugly, gross and unflattering. I don't care if they are comfortable. Pajamas are comfortable. Do you wear them out of the house? No, no you don't. And you shouldn't wear UGGS, either.
I've worn these Khombu boots around for the entire day, and they are AMAZING! Not to mention the fact that a) they protect against the snow, and b) they are stylish. Yes, snowboots that are ACTUALLY STYLISH! It's a weird, strange new world!
Note: I am normally a 6.5, and the 7 in these boots is a perfect fit, so keep this in mind! If you actually go inside a Lord & Taylor to buy them, I'm pretty sure they have these in a wider variety of colors!

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Join The Military (Boot)
All knee high lace-up boots are not created equal. These absolutely rise above the rest. The slightly up-tipped boot toes are the teensy tiny feminine detail that makes more chic than, well...meant for marching.

FASHION DEAL DIVA: A Boot Steal

I just spent four days out west, where it was above 90 degrees in San Diego and LA, and a balmy 62 in San Francisco. Dear West Coast readers, you must read this blog and listen to me talk about hats and gloves and say to yourself "that girl is crazy panda!" From this point forward, I'm going to try to gear my postings towards all sections of the U.S., and I know that as we march to December, that will be more and more difficult, but I'm going to do my best!
What better way to start off this new posting style than with a lace-up black boot that can be worn in any season! It's inevitable that you'll do a double-take when you see a boot under $50, but this is the real deal! Boots under $50!

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Save A Horse

It's hard to find boots on sale right now, so I'm trying to focus on trendy boots that I think are worth the money. I think this cowboy-esque knee high boot is worth the money. You can tuck your dark blue jeggings into this boot, or pair it with a pair of ivory lace tights and a floral mini. Either style is equally delightful! I also love the braiding around the boot, a style element I wish I saw more on shoes!

HALF OFF HOTTIE: Ride into fall with fabulous BOOTS!
I love horses and I love boots, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that I adore the Riding Boot trend. I find equestrianism to be quite a chic sport, which must be why this style of boot belonging to this particular sport can now be seen on every street, every shoe store window, and on so many people, some of which probably don't even know why it's called a Riding boot.
But I digress.
As stylish as Riding Boots can look from outside in, I must admit that upon first trying them on, they posed a problem to my sight. I didn't think they looked feminine enough to me. They look a bit...hard. Edgy, even. (Like a riding boot is supposed to look, maybe?)
However, once I figured out what they pair them with, my problem had a solution. So I came up with a few rules for myself, when wearing my riding boots:
1) Complement your riding boots with something tailored (jean or regular leggings, for example) because a flimsy pair of jeans tucked into your riding boot might make you look like you belong on a horse farm.
2) Skirts & Tights go GREAT with riding boots because they add girlishness and playfulness, two things that complement the bolder, harder look of this boot.
3) Accessorize to add femininity to your look. Ruffles & Flowery details on sweaters help with this too.
Now, with as many different options out there as there are, you might be wondering where to find a good, solid pair. Perhaps one that resembles the Michael Kors pair that Blake Lively wore here:

For those of us that would like to abstain from trading in our cars for horses to afford this boot, an attractive and affordable alternative:

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Hello 1994.

Sometimes, when a particular style of shoe is very "in", you have to suck up and buy it and make it an investment piece. I personally think we are heading into a whole decade of these kind of boots, so anything you buy will be "in" for a while (think about how much everyone loved these boots in the 90's!)
There are a lot of brown lace up boots that are flat, but not a lot with a great little heel. Not everybody likes to be in flats!

FASHION DEAL DIVA: What It's All A-Boot

Rich brown is in, especially when it comes to riding boots!
It's got just enough of a heel so that you ladies that demand a heel of some sort will be satisfied, while my ladies who abhor heels will be able to bear this tiny one. And while I'll never get behind over-the-knee boots (I just don't think I have it in me), these are a little taller than your usual boot, so you can get the look and feel of an over-the-knee boot without going overboard.

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Ridin' Purdy

Have a pair of riding boots in your closet? Well dust 'em off, they're back this season!
But if you don't have them? Or you only have them in brown? Take a gander at these more than affordable black boots from Madden Girl. They bring in more utilitarian elements than your average riding boot, so that fits the trend in boots well for this fall.

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Cutie Bootie

I can't say enough good things about these boots. I am OBSESSED with them! I've been wearing them everywhere. I create every outfit I can around them. They are ridiculously hot, and comfortable. So comfortable! I can walk everywhere, all night, and never feel a bit of pain. I've been wearing them mostly with black patterned tights, black mini skirts and a lighter colored top.

It rained all day on Sunday. As I sat and watched the rain fall, I imagined myself in a kick ass trench coat and boots. These boots look just like the one in my daydream! And then I saw them on 6 pm! Sergio Rossi boots 50% off are a great deal, especially for a timeless pair like these.

I'm a firm believer that cowboy boots never go out of style.

Get Booted

You're not going to get a better price for brand new riding boots, which, as you know, are still in style full force.
I love this rich brown and the two buckle detail. The oh-so-tiny wedge pleases the ladies who love their flats, but like a little lift now and then.
