Scarf Safari

By Jax

Two days ago it was a zebra skirt, and today it's a giraffe scarf!  Could I be going through a safari animal phase?

What roped me in first with this scarf is the colors, but when I saw that the polka-dot inspired pattern was giraffes, I was head over heels!  I like playful fashion that doesn't take itself too seriously.  If you're not a scarf person, give this one a try!

I've never seen a "scarf necklace", but now that I have, I can say I'm a fan!

These are prime spring/fall colors, all wrapped into one delightful necklace.  This kind of focus piece would work best with just a white t-shirt or with a blazer.

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Nude Beautiful

This is one for my scarf people!  I love this nude tone, because it will match so much.  The textured fabric gives this scarf more than just your average street pashmina.

FASHION DEAL DIVA: "Boo!"tique

Maybe you're not as into Halloween as the average bear. But all your friends are going to a dress-sup required Halloween party...you don't want to be that person that doesn't even try to dress up, do you???

I'll venture a guess that even if you don't like Halloween, you probably like Harry Potter. The Gryffindor scarf is a great accessory for any outfit on Halloween, because it says "look, I'm evoking Hogwarts and Gryffindor and Harry Potter and I'm trying to meet your Halloween costume standards" without the wearer having to put in lots of effort and spend lots of money on a costume that will sit in your closet. And where else can you wear this scarf? You guessed it! The Harry Potter movie premiere (go ahead, channel your inner nerd.)

(NOTE: Even though a child is pictured wearing the scarf, it's a scarf, so it is meant for all ages.)

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Daily Etsy Spotlight

When I went to Fashion's Night Out, one of the accessories I won in the Lord & Taylor fashion wheel was a bright green Kensie shoulder warmer. Let me start by saying that I didn't know this was a shoulder warmer until I saw this shoulder warmer, and then it clicked in my brain. Until then, I was wearing it as a scarf, or a scarf/hat combo, or even using it to warm my hands and feet.

Yes, this is a shoulder warmer, but it's so much more! It can be worn so many different ways that once you own one, it becomes something you end up using all the time!

This particular shoulder warmer is made to order, so it will fit your shoulders perfectly. It's hand-woven (and beautifully, I might add) in a soft mauve that is the perfect hint of color for any winter accessory. What a find!
