White shorts are my summer workhorse.  Last summer, I spent $70 on a pair of nice white shorts from American Apparel, and wore them at least 3 times a week.  Woth white shorts, you can put anything on top!  You're not afraid to buy the bright colored tank because you have something to match it.  And it's so easy to go summer dressy in a pair of white shorts and a black shirt.

These are even better than your average white shorts because they are EYELET!  Not only is this added style benefit something that will make you look extra cute, but eyelet generally is less likely to wrinkle, which is always a plus!

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Let's Build A Casual Outfit

Ann Taylor is running a Friends and Family promotion until April 10th!  When you go to their website, the main page is Ann Taylor stylists making outfits that they themselves wear!  I decided to continue the exercise and make an Ann Taylor outfit that I really loved!

I can feel an obsession with green shorts of all shades coming on, so let's say that this is the beginning of it. The silky top is a nice juxtaposition to the casual cotton of the shorts.  This outfit is also screaming for a pair of espadrilles!
