I think the reason this is on sale is because $70 is just too much to spend on a novelty flat. There is no way you are going to wear this purple patent leather flat every day. But you might wear it once a week, or once every two weeks, to spice up a basic outfit, or maybe you have a skirt or a dress that matches perfectly with the shoes. Either way, $29.99 is a much more appropriate price for this shoe.
This also gives me a chance to talk about the rainbow theory of footwear. You should have a pair of shoes in every color of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple). They should be LOUD! And BRIGHT! And when you look in your closet in the morning, it will be a fashion rainbow of awesome. Will you wear these shoes all the time? Nope, you won't. But you will wear them all occasionally, and you'll be surprised when some days you chose your orange leather driving mocs, or your light yellow polka dot pumps.
