Last week, the Fashion Deal Diva wrote about a touch of lace in a tank top. Today I'll suggest a touch of lace from vintage sources to add an interesting element to any outfit.
I love a bit of lace in a tough winter outfit. You are bold and fashionable, but with a layer of lace peeking out somewhere, you soften your look and add a sexy subtle dimension. Vintage lace is a treasure hunt. There are some good, affordable lace pieces, that just require a little imagination to style into a great outfit.
Here are a few ideas:
Black Lace 1950s Top size S/M
Beautiful top! I can see this with a high-waisted skirt and a modern cut jacket, like a motorcycle jacket or a military style coat. Really feminine and delicate details like the buttons and lace can be tempered with bolder pieces, or alternately styled in a totally girly look.
Price: $22.00
Pink Vintage Lace Tank size XS/S
A lace shell can be a great start to an outfit! I'd layer a deep v-neck sweater over this one. What a steal!
Price: $10.00
FANCY WHITE VICTORIAN LACE BLOUSE
This blouse mixes a few different lace prints and has a lot going on! However, the long sleeves would look cute sticking out under a sweater sleeve. Maybe pair this blouse with a menswear inspired blazer for a softer look.
Price: $17.99
I love tie-front tops like this in jersey. I've never seen a lace one like this and can imagine wearing it on so many occasions. Casual to dressy, I can see this top being a very busy wardrobe item! I want it!!!
Price: $20.00
