When I went to prom, the trend was long strapless dresses from Jessica McClintock (seriously, I can't remember one person who didn't wear a long dress!) But the trend right now is poofy party frocks. So if you want to be more trendy and less classic, then poofy party is the way to go!
I like this particular dress because it's fun and age appropriate, and by wearing black, you're automatically going for a more sophisticated version of the trend. And at under $25, it's affordable for everyone!
