FRUGAL FIANCÉE: Minted at a Discount.

I just ordered my wedding invitations from minted, so I know that makes me partial but I really like their designs, quality of paper, and customer service. Best of all, right now all wedding invitations are 15% off with the code SPRING15. Awesome!

FRUGAL FIANCÉE: Minted.

I know I'm not the only one who has received a really cool save-the-date in the mail and thought: wow they must have had some awesome, expensive graphic designer print up their super-fancy save-the-dates. And while you can certainly go that route, there are a number of online invitation shops that have some pretty sweet, non-cookie cutter designs to choose from.

Minted.com is one of my favorites and they have great photo and non-photo designs (just in case you don't like any of the awkwardly-posed engagement photos you took). They also usually have a promotion going, right now if you use THANKS20 you'll get 20% off an order of $150 or more. Yay stylish savings!

FRUGAL FIANCÉE: Proud as a Peacock

Wedding invitations are an opportunity to either splurge or save. I prefer to save money and look like I've splurged. However, if you aren't skilled in arts and crafts (like me) taking on a DIY wedding invitation project could drive you crazy and leave you with a less-than-ideal product.

That is where empapers steps in. For $65.00 you can get one of their designs (like "peacock" above) in which you can input your wedding information and then print the invitations on your own saving you lots of moolah while looking like you went and had a custom order printed.

FRUGAL FIANCÉE: We Invite You To Celebrate Our Wedding.

I am pretty psyched because I purchased what are likely to be the shoes I wear on my wedding today. It's been a long search to find quality, non-leather shoes that I like. (email me @ frugalfiancee@gmail.com if you want to see them, not posting here so hubs-to-be doesn't get a sneak peak:)

I've also been perusing wedding invitations lately and, although its not time for me to purchase yet, I'm always on the look out for a good deal. The invitation suite above looks professionally done and is handmade by Ivandy on Etsy. Less than $4 and invite gets you:
5x7 Envelope, 5x7 Invitation, Reception Card, Accommodation Card, RSVP Card, RSVP Envelope, RSVP Return Address Label, Belly Band with monogram. Try to find all those extras at the same price somewhere else, I'm betting you'll strike out.

FRUGAL FIANCÉE: Press Start To Begin.

This might be the nerdiest wedding invite I've ever seen but it is also creative and awesome! You can buy an old NES game cartridge on ebay for as little as $1 and then print up labels to sitck on each one.

It is so creative I want to find some other nostalgic item to turn into an invite for my own wedding. Old 45s maybe?
