COMFY COQUETTE: Toasty Toes by Style&Co.

As the weather gets colder, I find myself in search of the perfect pair of slippers to keep my feet toasty all season long. There are a ton of great bargains out there, but I am choosy when it comes to selecting the perfect pair.

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Guys Buys

Gentlemen...I did not forget you!  Finally, I had a good Cyber Monday sweater deal for you!

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Get Your Boot On

In the craziness that was Black Friday, Nine West seemed calm compared to the RIDICULOUSLY SCARY crowd that overtook Aldo (seriously, it was a shoe crazed mob!)

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Cardigan Under $10!

I have this cardigan and I LOVE IT!  It's really light, but very form flattering.  I love the empire waist...it's a spectacular choice for high-waisted ladies who want to rock the long cardigan trend!

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Holiday Party Marathon Shoe

Some people run actual marathons.  I just run around from Christmas party to Christmas party, and it FEELS like a marathon.  For my marathon, I need something that will wear well and be comfortable.

Vintage Vixen: Bow-back Gold Holiday Dresses

Happy Cyber Monday Fashionistas!

Holiday Dress season is upon us! I love dresses, and especially holiday dresses. Gold dresses have a special sparkle, and are always the color I pick up first. The two designs below are different but amazing shapes from the 1950s. And both have bows on the backs. In decades past, bows were a staple on many dresses. They are such a great design element, I think. I love the big bow on the long slim gown, but the small row of 3 bows on the back of the prom dress is great too!

I'll feature more beautiful vintage holiday dresses throughout the month, but get started looking for a fantastic one now!

Happy Shopping,
xoxo Vintage Vixen

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Feel Like A Schoolgirl Again

Ooooh I waited and waited and WAITED for this delightful schoolgirl satchel to go on sale and NOW IT FINALLY HAS!

The construction of this eye-catching red bag (perfect for a notepad and a laptop!) is definitely on the preppy side, but that's precisely how and why it worked its way into my heart.  The red is simply brilliant.  If you go ga-ga for color, then you knew it was love at first sight!

FASHION DEAL DIVA: All Balled Up

I am one of those people that always needs a hairtie but never has one. This is a great gift for that person in your life. It comes in both the dark and bright color schemes, but I like the brighter one best (it's a hairtie, go nuts!)

FRUGAL FIANCÉE: ThanksWedding.

Just when you thought something didn't exist, the googles surprise you. Apparently, enough people get married on Thanksgiving that there is a t-shirt you can buy to commemorate the event. (I say the icon in the lower-left quadrant is a tofurkey leg since I'll be having a meat-free Thanksgiving.)

Thanks to you all for reading and have a great holiday!

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Pink On Pinky

If you have a black, gray, beige or ivory winter coat, why not spice that plain color scheme up with a hot pink color pop??? These leather gloves are a great winter accessory to make those dreary winter days a little brighter. Plus, you probably don't want to spend more than $17.99 on a novelty item that you won't wear every day, so the price point is perfect!

COMFY COQUETTE: Dapper Cami by ABS

Cami's are a ComfyCoquette necessity and this dapper number is one of those rare finds that can make the transition from bed to brunch. The black stretch jersey ensures this top will keep its shape while the silk ruffle and bow placket really dresses it up - you could totally rock this under a bold vneck or cardigan. So cute!

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Winter Polka

This is a special day on the blog. My mom, who obsesses over Christmas and still asks me for a list even though I'm 28 years old, asked me today what I wanted for Christmas. SO! Everything you see here will be stuff I asked for Christmas!

I love polka dots, and I like that this can be a summer dress (on it's own), or a winter dress (with a black patent leather belt and a shiny black cardigan.

I love this elephant necklace! It's really the pendant that got me, but I like the hard gold chain as well. It's a very funky piece, something you wouldn't find at your average jewelry depot or Forever 21.

FRUGAL FIANCÉE: Bolero!

A bolero or a shrug can add a touch of style to any bride or bridal party outfit. This could be your something blue or a way for your bridesmaids to show their individuality by having them each wear a different color bolero. I like the detailing on this one and although it isn't super cheap, I think it has a high style-per-dollar ratio.

It's been a while since I posted a good deal on a blazer! As most gents know, Holiday season is often equated with blazer season, so you should jump at the good blazer deals when you can. It's hard to go wrong with a super 100's navy wool blazer...it's always in style!

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Tie It On

The little girl in me loves this dress. It IS the dress I wore when I was 7. Just updated for an adult. I love the tie in the front (leave it long, or make a cute bow!) Although I've featured the dress here in blue, I prefer the gray color.

Vintage Vixen: Tie-neck Blouses

Tie-neck blouses are in style... For good reason! They are so feminine and classy. I've squealed at seeing them on recent runways, and am happy every time I see one on the street! I'm featuring 3 different vintage decades below just to show you how many options you have when searching the vintage archives for this very fashionable style.

Tucker for Target recently released a polka dot tie-front shirt that I wanted to love, but I thought it missed the mark. This mid-60s gem is what I wanted it to be. If you click through to get a better look at the fabric, you'll see the polka dots are a little different, making this shirt a little better. This is CUTE! Tuck it into a little skirt with a nice jacket and you are set.

FASHION DEAL DIVA: A Good Wing Tip

Part of me feels like I may have featured these shoes already...but I can't remember! I have been eyeing these shoes since September. When I saw them in Urban Outfitters, they didn't have my size. And somehow it just fell off my priority list to buy them! Yay Christmas!

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Day To Night Potential

I know for some of my fashionistas, this dress might be too short for a day look. But for my shorter ladies, this dress would be a fabulous day-to-night option! Pair it with a tailored blazer and opaque tights for your workday meetings, and switch to a killer pair of cage heels and lose the tights and the blazer for after-work martinis.

Also, for my high school fans, this dress is also perfect for a school dance or concert, or even a sweet sixteen on the more casual side.

HALF-OFF HOTTIE: In Case.

Last week I caved and bought a new iPad. I have never thought of myself as a huge tech-y person, but after the first time I held an iPhone in my hands things changed and well, it all went downhill from there. (by downhill I mean iPhone --> MacBook Pro --> iPad. I seriously hope they don't come out with something else, for my bank account's sake.)

Half of the fun of having a new tech gadget is figuring out how to use it. The other half of the fun is DRESSING IT.

Yep, you read that right. I dress my gadgets. (but at least I'm not one of those weird people that names them. That's weird.)

Long gone are the days when phone holders and computer cases were for storing purposes. The greatest designers have started making stylish, chic cases for your favorite phone or computer!

Take for example his red (and fabulous) Oscar de la Renta iPad Clutch. It's functional and so stylish, that you'll probably never want to remove your iPad from it.

Oscar de la Renta iPad Clutch, oscardelarenta.com, $290.00

Some of us would like to purchase a case that doesn't cost almost as much as the actual iPad, (seriously, it's almost that much), so I began the hunt for the fabulous & affordable iPad case. My favorite? Red of course.

But WAIT! There's more! It has POCKETS!

So... not only gorgeous and affordable, but also incredibly functional! Perfect for the office or school. (did I mention it also holds your iPhone? It's like an Apple happy place!)

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Out For A Winter Romp(er)

If you're in New York, you're probably not thinking about fun and frilly denim rompers. But if you're in sunny LA, the last thing you're thinking about is sweaters! So thanks, Free People, for putting this super cute denim romper on a super sale! I really love the ruffles at the bottom of the shorts. Pairing this with a belt is definitely the way to go!

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Little Red Riding Coat

I have a rule that I don't buy stuff on the blog so that you can buy it. This coat is down to $44! Today only!!!!!!! And there are only two left!!!! THIS IS A HUGE BARGAIN!

FASHION DEAL DIVA: 2010: A Levi's Odyssey

Having misplaced by favorite 524 Levi's (I think they are somewhere at my parents house?), I needed a new pair of go-to jeans. On the recommendation of the Comfy Coquette, I decided to try the "new" levis.

For those of you unfamiliar with the recent Levis change, they have pretty much scrapped the style numbers for women (i.e. 524, etc.), and have opted to go for a model where there are three different types: slight curve, demi curve and bold curve. They use this crazy measuring tape to measure you...it doesn't involve numbers, so no worries there!

Walking into Levis that day, I knew that my 34 inch hips would undoubtedly register as a "bold curve," but I got measured anyway!

This is the tool they use to measure you. It takes three measurements: your hips, your waist, and that area in the middle of those two (how thorough!) The ratio of those sizes on this tool lets you know which "curve" category you fall into.

Even though they measure you, I cannot stress this enough. EVERY single pair is different. I have never, ever been a size 25 in a pair of jeans in my life, and yet that's what I am in the demi curve. But I'm a 26 in the bold. And there were some bolds I would have been a 27. And there were some demis I would have been a 26. You NEED to go into the store and try this stuff on! I must have tried on 25 pairs of jeans, no exaggeration!

When all was said and done, I found two amazing pairs of jeans! One bold curve for every day wear, and a demi curve for dressier occasions. What I like about the bold is that there is no waist space...it really does hug my curves! You might not like that feeling, but I think it's something you'll get used to (yes, it feels weird to have jeans that ACTUALLY fit!)

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Endangered Fashion

I love purple corduroy! It's very rare to find it...like an endangered species, I think stores are afraid to make it during a recession because it might not sell as well. But seriously, LOVE PURPLE CORDUROY!

What a great work look you can make with this skirt...dark brown leather knee high boots, a nice pair of stockings and an ivory silk blouse with pearls. Perfect winter work ensemble!

FASHION DEAL DIVA: 80's Nostalgia

When I was little, I loved looking through my mom's dresses. She had so many beautiful cocktail dresses and party gowns, a multitude of which were worn at Christmas parties throughout the holiday season. This nostalgia for all things 80's and Christmas continues to stay with me, and this upcycled vintage dress has the lace + velvet combo that made it's first appearance in the 80's, and is back now in full force.

Lace and velvet are not exactly plain materials, but they work well together when they are understated (like here.) Why does this not scream "80's"? Well..for starters, no puffy sleeves, or puffy skirt. So you get all the joy of the 80's style and fabrics in a nice, updated look.
