I've found that dresses fro urban outfitters fit me well. Too well. Burn a hole through my credit card and wallet well.

When I see them in different patterns, or slight sleeve variations, it's no matter to me, because the fit is the same. It's why I feel VERY comfortable ordering from Urban Outfitters online. Check out these dresses in store and maybe you, too, can become addicted to Urban's dresses.

COMFY COQUETTE: Slipping Back To Morocco

Greetings fashion lovers! I'm back from my wedding/honeymoon and slowly getting back into the swing of things. We spent a blissful week in Morocco, and I can't seem to shake it. The colors! the textiles! The food! It's amazing.

In a honeymooner haze while walking through the Old Medina in Fes, I got distracted by the amazing scarves, rugs and jewelry, and forgot to pick up the one item I really wanted - leather Moroccan slippers. So, I took to the web when I landed stateside to find some Cinderella-style goodies to share.

These beauties are the real deal. They're imported from Marrakech and come in a range of colors and styles - from pink to metallic, bedazzled and plain. I personally love the black and white! Perfect for shuffling around the apartment in old world style...

Rich brown is in, especially when it comes to riding boots!

It's got just enough of a heel so that you ladies that demand a heel of some sort will be satisfied, while my ladies who abhor heels will be able to bear this tiny one. And while I'll never get behind over-the-knee boots (I just don't think I have it in me), these are a little taller than your usual boot, so you can get the look and feel of an over-the-knee boot without going overboard.

HOMEY HONEY: For The Love Of Owls

I have to admit, I first noticed the owls, then noticed the rest. I love birds; owls, especially. I then realized these owls had a phenomenal function. These owls come with a metal board that you can use magnets with or push pins to hold notes, pictures, etc! I could definitely see this in my office, next to the computer with reminder notes of bill due dates (they sure do have a funny way of sneaking up on you). With this cute reminder, you may never forget.

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Red-y For Anything

If you could already tell by my recent postings, I'm into peacoats, and I'm into red!

This particular coat is at the astonishing price of $32.80. I'm not sure how Forever 21's pricing model works, because I've definitely purchased disposable dresses for $32.80 at Forever 21, so for that same ridiculously low price, you can get a coat! And since this is an accent coat (i.e. one you won't wear every day), the price makes the purchase all the more appropriate.

Tip: The coats in-store are probably totally messed up, so order online to get a wonderfully fresh, never touched jacket.

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Daily Etsy Spotlight

I don't think I've ever seen a rosette that hasn't been made from a solid color. Not to say they didn't exist...I'm sure they are all over Etsy, but this one happened to be the first patterned one I stumbled across in my daily Etsy searches.

The great thing about using a stripe pattern on something that generally is a dressy element is that it tones down the dressy! This clip is made for a black t-shirt and jeans day. It's as casual as you want it to be.

This dress is a great cut if you are looking for a slim, tailored look on your wedding day. I really like how the skirt/ train fills out in the back and the deep-V is very sexy. This is also a good dress for people who are not "well endowed" and don't want to rock a strapless dress.

Made By: David's Bridal
Price: $199 (originally $249)

So often overlooked is the men's floral tie. You probably have solids, paisley, polka dots, etc. You probably even have some with cute animals, or maybe golf clubs. But florals?

Don't dismiss them! It's just another pattern for a tie. Don't think of it as flowers...think of it as a more colorful choice than your regularly ties. This green is great for next spring and summer, so save the money now!

HOMEY HONEY: Feeling Batty

I am absolutely in love with this. My favorite holiday is Halloween. One of the reasons is all the decorations, including this little guy. This scent “bat” is an easy way to decorate for the season and make your home smell like fall! There are lots of new scents for fall including caramel apple, which I can’t wait to try. Even better, this scent bug is under $20! A fun and expensive way to get ready and in the mood for the season, check!

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Is Anywhere In The U.S. Cold Right Now?

Despite the warm monsoon season that has hit NY, and the heat wave that is pounding LA, I am determined to put up some sweaters on this blog for when it actually decides to get cold.

Open cardigans can sometimes make you look wider than you are. Not this one! The diagonal stripes give a waist slimming effect. A lot of people say "I can't wear stripes, they make me look fat," but this sweater is the exception to the rule!

I'm not the most chest-blessed gal, but I still need a little top support when pulling a downward dog. I have mixed feelings towards sports bras. Strike that: nine times out of ten, I absolutely hate them. Most sports bras are the equivalent of S&M bondage devices; They smoosh and smash and mash and duct tape it all in, constricting my breathing and cutting into my back and shoulders. After years of holding out for "the one," and almost losing hope, I found my match made in undergarment heaven in the unlikeliest of places: Gap.

The Racerback bra by Gap and I have lived in sporty bliss ever since. This bra is not for everyone--I imagine many girls out there need more support than this bra can provide. But if you're on the smallish side like me, and you hate feeling like your sports bra is trying to break your ribs, I can't recommend it highly enough. The racerback stye means the straps hide prefectly behind any racerback tanks. This bra is both seamless and wireless, and the stretch nylon blend provides me the perfect amount of support to keep it under wraps when running or jumping.

At $20 a pop, you can score two of these bras (in white, black, or nude) for the price of one traditional bondage/torture device...I mean...sports bra.

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Creamy And Dreamy

My obsessive search for cream and ivory colored tops has taken me here! To this delightful, puffed sleeve shirt. The cross front draws attention to your chest without saying HEY LOOK AT MY BOOBS!

I also heart the shoulder ruffles! It's a design element that was very popular around the turn of the century...if it made a comeback, it would make my heart flutter!

I've been pining for a denim shirt. I REALLY didn't think the denim shirt I fell in love with would be made by Alice + Olivia!!! This is such an amazing deal on such a versatile and "in" item.

I am a big sleeve roller, so I like that this has the button on the sleeve so it can hold the roll. The detailing on the shoulders also takes this shirt from just your plain denim shirt to something a bit more special.

Don't be afraid to mix your denims! Pair this with a pair of really dark blue jeans and you're good to go.

Halloween is on its way, and while I will have lots of holiday themed fashion features, I think September is still kind of too early to be posting Halloween stuff. HOWEVER, this classy, yet creepy, cameo ring doesn't necessarily have to be for Halloween! You can wear it all year round, but it does have a bit more relevance in October.

FRUGAL FIANCÉE: Cake Cutting Dress

Quail Bridal, the designer of this dress, calls this a "cake cutting" dress: something to change into half-way through the reception. I think a bold bride could even wear this as her one-and-only dress.

I'm in love with the combination of tulle and a short dress and the bow certainly makes a loud announcement that you are the special one here.

Boys, you know your bodies, so you know that a fitted shirt is not for everyone. For those guys who care enough to haul their ass to a gym enough to wear a fitted shirt (or alternatively, for those skinny boys who treat "fitted" a "regular"), this pink military shirt is a great piece. As with most pink men's clothing, it's a nice, light pink that is manly (yes, pink can be manly!)

Made By: Express

Price: $29.99 (originally $49.50)

Nothing says bold like a red dress.

The cut on this particular dress is fabulous, and great for an office (if your office is OK with bright colors.) Plus, this wonderful dress will be a nice compliment to the falling red, brown and orange leaves as you shimmy your way into October.

Despite sitting here writing during a particularly paralyzing heat wave in Los Angeles, I continue to plan and strategize the perfect fall wardrobe. This week's feature: wide brim hats! The fedora and the floppy wide brim hat are having a moment in popular fashion, and are also widely available in the vintage market. Yay! Hats are definitely a personal thing- you have to figure out which style works best with your face shape, head size, and general style, but when you've found a great one- wow! Get ready to turn heads. Here are a few favorite finds this week:

FEELING LIKE 1932 IN MY1970s gray wool hat. Price: $12.00.

Gray with a black ribbon can be easy-day to night- it is not too fancy and if you like denim or khaki, this hat will be a perfect topper.

Italian Made Vintage Fedora. Price: $28.00.
This hat looks great with this hair!! A style that could look masculine goes feminine in the right color and with the right hair- super sexy!

Caramel Mocha - A Fabulous 1960s Ladies Wool Felt Hat with Feather Accent. Price: $13.00.

Camel wool is a great trend for capes, coats and hats this fall. The feathers and the ribbon make this one absolutely unique and necessary.

Vintage Navy Blue Hat. Price: $12.00.

I like the story behind this French hat. Click through to read details. Would be extra cool if you have a "C" as an initial! Navy goes with everything and is basically a neutral in my mind. Love this hat!

Liz Claiborne (Carmen Sandiego) Purple Wool Felt Hat. Price: $15.00.

I loved playing Carmen Sandiego when I was a kid and always thought she was so cool. Now I can relive my childhood fantasy!! The color and shape of this hat are great. Very modern. Very now.

She's got Style - Vintage Wool Cloche. Price: $15.00.

This cloche has a distinct vintage vibe that could be really charming with the right outfit!

Vintage GRASSY KNOLL Wool Brim Hat. Price: $43.00.

I'm a sucker for a good green. The leather band and perfect condition make this worth the extra few bucks. I see this hat with gray or black or camel. Could be a very versatile winter staple! Your hair can stay snow-free without a hood!

Vintage Burgundy Wool Felt Hat by Lord and Taylor Made in Italy. Price: $29.00.

Italian made vintage wool hats by Lord and Taylor are sure to be a good investment. High quality and classic fashion is soooo worth the $29.00 this hat is listed at! I bet Lord and Taylor could be selling similar styles right now!!

Everyone can wear a hat. You just have to find the right one!

Till next time,
xoxo Vintage Vixen

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Steampunk Goddess

Such a lovely and delicate dress! This color fits in perfectly with a fall palette, but will also work great in the spring, so you get your money's worth!

The steampunk inspired beading on the collar of the dress works very well as a juxtaposition to the delicate construction of the piece.

Have a pair of riding boots in your closet? Well dust 'em off, they're back this season!

But if you don't have them? Or you only have them in brown? Take a gander at these more than affordable black boots from Madden Girl. They bring in more utilitarian elements than your average riding boot, so that fits the trend in boots well for this fall.

Love is not a strong enough word to convey the feelings I have for these tights. This picture doesn't do them justice!!!!! I love the way they make my legs look, and when you let them shine as the star they are, you will shine, too! I put them with a black mini skirt, black lace up mini boots and a ivory semi-see through top. Rrawr!!!

I've heard that the Gap's Authentic Jean is good for boys who are tall (above 5'10), who have no butt, but don't look good in skinny or slim. Does this describe your body type? If so...give the authentic a try! This feels like a very "American" jean. I'm not really sure why. It's not like there is a wave flying behind it while "I'm Proud To Be An American" blares through a speaker. Some jeans just speak to me!

When I first saw these shoes, I thought "hrm, maybe these are too edgy for the blog?" But fashionistas...I have to be myself! And me, myself, these shoes!!!!! I obsess over white shoes, and these are very hot and unique!

Don't be afraid to wear these shoes in winter just because they're white. They are WINTER SHOES! Be a bright white spot in the middle of a cold and vicious winter!
