HOMEY HONEY: Oh, Those Summer Nights

I love summer nights outside. I love that it cools down a few degrees from the humidity of the daytime. I came across these tealight holders and knew it was perfect for some outdoor nighttime lighting. Instead of candles I pop in some LED tealights so I don't have to deal with remembering to blow the candles out. It creates a great mood and ambiance. I am thinking of bringing them in the house during the winter so it can take me back to those sumer nights.

Homey Honey: I scream, You scream

No really, I really did scream when I saw this. The weather is finally feeling summer-like and I have started craving ice cream. I came across this as I was searching Urban Outfitters new arrivals. I am in love. I love multipurpose things. I especially love the calendar feature, not to mention the chalkboard for notes! I am notorious for leaving the house and having no clue what the date is. I would hang it right by my door so I would never forget. I also really like the shelf/hook combo. It is great for storage. I can't wait to hang all my fun Spring coats on this and maybe an umbrella (I swear it has been raining for 2 weeks straight).

It has a built in strainer so when you are cutting fruits and veggies you just put this right over the sink, and cut away so you don't loose any of the precious fruits and veggies you worked hard to cut. Ok, ok, I know it's pricey, but is this not the most awesome chair you have ever seen?!?! I think this chair is perfect for a patio or a balcony. I love the designs and colors, although I have to say this one is my favorite. These would be perfect for a garden party or spring gathering. I really love the antique feeling of this chair as well. Although it's a trash can, it is too cute to pass up. The strawberry reminded me of summer and I couldn't want summer more (it was snowing yesterday). This trash can is small. A reviewer so kindly attached a picture to show size. I think though it is the perfect size for a home office or just about anywhere as a decor item. Perhaps you can use this at your summer parties for small trash like swivel sticks or as a holder of items instead of trash.

My sister recently bought a condo and has two bathrooms she needs to decorate. Both of us have an obession with owls and came across these shower curtain hooks. This spice rack from Ikea is not only super inexpensive, but also has multiuses. I recently saw someone use these as book holders/magazine holders and mounted them to their pantry door to hold cookbooks. I instantly knew I had to do the same. The rack is wide enough to hold at least 3 books and depending how wide they are up to 6. I use this rack in my bathroom. It is mounted to the wall and holds my magazines. There are so many uses, kitchen rack, book rack, an office supply holder in your office, etc. So spices or books, these racks are just what you need.

I'm so ready for spring. I would love all the snow to melt away and feel some warmer temperatures and even a spring breeze. In my effort to bring spring here, I found some light airy curtains to make it feel a little more spinglike. I love that these are made from a gauze material so they are light and airy. Valentine's Day is approaching and who wouldn't want these adorable measuring spoons. I love Valentine's Day (I am sure many will disagree), but I love every holiday because it gives me an excuse to decorate. I was searching through Urban Outfitter's Valentine's collection and found this rug. It says "Please don't go". Even if you don't celebrate Valentine's Day, you could still use this rug as a doormat, because who likes to see anyone go? I am absolutely crazy for storage, and I think I buy more storage pieces than anything else. This storage combo from Ikea also doubles as a TV stand. This is perfect for an apartment where space is an issue. Just pop your TV on top and the accessories in the storage space underneath. I personally love it because my TV sits on top and my wii and accessories are stored in the unit. I can close the door to hide what would be clutter. This is only sold in Ikea stores, not online.
