HOMEY HONEY: Pillow Talk

I was on a quest to find something "holiday" that I could keep out all year round. I came across these pillows and it is just enough to add a little holiday cheer to my living room (since I can't keep my tree up all year round). These throw pillow covers can cover my pillows I have already so I have to make only a minimal investment. The red is perfect fix for my holiday needy-ness. The blooming flower means it is something I can keep out no matter the time of year. This etsy shop also has an assortment of other beautiful pillow covers, so there is something for everyone's taste.

FRUGAL FIANCÉE: ThanksWedding.

Just when you thought something didn't exist, the googles surprise you. Apparently, enough people get married on Thanksgiving that there is a t-shirt you can buy to commemorate the event. (I say the icon in the lower-left quadrant is a tofurkey leg since I'll be having a meat-free Thanksgiving.)

Thanks to you all for reading and have a great holiday!

Vintage Vixen: Bow Ties

Bow ties are a very cute accessory for the upcoming holiday season. They can add a boyish and stylish touch (think Alexa Chung and Mondo Guerra) to your feminine wardrobe. Or, if you're looking for a cute holiday gift for a guy, consider some of the cute vintage bow ties below! Super-affordable, and guaranteed to fit everyone, the bow tie deserves our attention! I'd wear one with a frilly, feminine shirt and high waisted pants. I like the floppy velvet variety since they are a little more girly, but if you can rock the menswear trend, try a structured little tie!

Vintage Vixen: Rhinestone Brooches

Happy Holiday Season! Somehow November seems to be the start of all the festivities. Which means... festive dressing! One of my favorite items of my winter festive wardrobe: A rhinestone brooch. I love vintage rhinestone brooches! They can easily add sparkle to a simple blouse or dress, and I suggest using a brooch for an accent on a scarf, too! They are really very affordable, and so much fun! I keep mine with my jewelry and always look for an excuse to wear one! Check out a few options below. Buy one now and sparkle all season!

HOMEY HONEY: Hostess with the Mostest

Halloween has come and gone, now it is time to start planning Thanksgiving and holiday parties. I usually have a hard time finding just the right serving platter. I came across this platter along the way of my search. I love that it has 4 different dipping sections. It cuts down on the use of bowls for all the dip and looks pretty as well. I like to offer my guests a variety and this helps me do it. You can use it for breads, crackers, chips, and even desserts. Even after the holidays, this platter is a useful everyday dinner tool.
