My work wardrobe has a decidedly 1960s/70s slant. So when wide leg, high-waisted pants came back into style, my mind immediately thought of the cute round-necked jackets and blazers a la Jackie O.
The blazer above is just screaming to be paired with your wide leg pants in the office. Like skirts instead? It will go as perfectly with a pencil. A big white bead necklace would be the ideal pairing.

FASHION DEAL DIVA: European Blazer
This "French Girl" blazer looks a little bit more British to me, but regardless of which country it comes from, it's pretty and delicate and I am drawn to shiny gold buttons!

The minimalist classics of Helmut Lang never grow old. In college, I spend $75.00 on a white t-shirt that fit me better than any t-shirt I've ever tried on, and looked good years later after way too many washings (it met it's untimely demise when a red dress accidentally found its way into the wash, and I'm still sad about it.)

Unless you plan to grow taller, or wider (and you control that one!), you should not be worried about plunking down a lot of money for a good blazer.
I have a particular love for this blazer. It's a beautiful navy and I like the rustic looking buttons! I know not all guys like side vents (which is maybe why it's on sale?), but if you don't have any issues with them, check this blazer out!

FASHION DEAL DIVA: Designer Alert - St. John
For those of you unfamiliar with St. John, they specialize in classic pieces (generally suits, but also dresses and blazers) that are fashion forward for any decade. St. John's stuff from the 60's, 70's and 80's is just as relevant as any clothing you'd find on a rack today.
So when you see the ridiculous price tag for this blazer, acknowledge first that: 1) this is "cheap" for St. John's, and 2) this is something that you can wear for the rest of your life (providing you don't gain weight!)
I love the magenta/houndstooth combo. Although the model is wearing it with black pants, It would look equally good with a black skirt or dress, or even dark blue jeans.

FASHION DEAL DIVA: My New Perfect Blazer
Urban Outfitters aptly named this blazer the "perfect blazer." I'm inclined to agree! Every outfit I put it with becomes more perfect.
It's always tricky when the weather is changing...do I put on a coat? Or do I just weave a jacket into the outfit that works in an ensemble and an outwear sense? This blazer kept me warm on a chilly night, but kept my outfit nice and hot.

For some lucky fashionistas whose coloring works with this particular brown, go ahead and jump for joy: It's a BCBG Blazer for under $150!
Blazers - for a variety of reasons - are generally a time where you should spend the money. I like this one for it's interesting cut. Appropriate and stylish enough for the office and anything you choose to do after. I will say that I do NOT like the pairing with jeans. This should go with a skirt or shorts.
