I have to be in a certain kind of mood for a trip to Daffys.  A mood where I am ready to pick through lots of crap to find the designer gem in the pile.  I walked into Daffys, rolled up my sleeves, and got ready for a few hours of insanity.

Just 6 steps into the store, I saw....an entire rack of recently acquired trench coats!  Tons of sizes, tons of colors!!!!  It just goes to show you, Daffys doesn't have to be the store you always have to search through...sometimes it's perfect and nice and wonderful.  It's the luck of the draw!

Now that the weather has cooled down (or frozen, if you live near me) and winter is officially here, it's time to think of coats. I realized this last week, when I spent 10 minutes in front of my coat closet, sorting through the coats I have accumulated through the years, only to realize that, um, I don't own an actual "winter" coat.

It's true.

I'll be honest, I have shied away from winter coats because my image of them was that they aren't stylish. But upon the realization that I just COULD NOT get away with trenches (even if I have one in every color) or cute thin little wool jackets (Let's face it. FASHION DEAL DIVA: Red-y For Anything

If you could already tell by my recent postings, I'm into peacoats, and I'm into red!

This particular coat is at the astonishing price of $32.80. I'm not sure how Forever 21's pricing model works, because I've definitely purchased disposable dresses for $32.80 at Forever 21, so for that same ridiculously low price, you can get a coat! And since this is an accent coat (i.e. one you won't wear every day), the price makes the purchase all the more appropriate.

Tip: The coats in-store are probably totally messed up, so order online to get a wonderfully fresh, never touched jacket.
