Reportedly, around 2000 women stormed the doors of Filene's Basement in my hood this morning (80th and Amsterdam) for Filene's annual bridal sale. Doors opened at 8:00 a.m. and I heard most dresses were claimed by 8:05.

Now, I don't condone trampling people to get at a dress, but if you are up for it - and you show up with some protective gear - you can grab a huge bargain ($5,000 dresses for $500, etc.) by attending the Filene's bridal sale in your area.

FASHION DEAL DIVA: I Can't Believe I'm Posting Pleated Pants!

I can't stress what I'm about to say enough: THIS PAIR OF PANTS IS NOT FOR EVERYONE!  If you have a tummy?  NOT FOR YOU.  Junk in the trunk?  NOT FOR YOU!  Why is it not for you?   The pleats.  My god, the pleats!

Would I normally ever feature pleated pants, let alone capris?  No.  But yesterday, I saw a girl wearing this exact kind of pants with some kind of ankle/midcalf boot, and I fell in love.  She also had on an ivory ruffle blouse, an olive green blazer and an infinity scarf.  Her look was effortless, but also perfect.  Everything was in harmony...even the pants!

So if you're on the taller side (5'4 and above), and you don't have the issues listed above, then go ahead and try to achieve this look, which I know from runway shows will probably be all the rage for the next year.

I know some people say "why spend the money on a designer bag if you can't see the label?"  I am in the opposite camp, where over half the time when I see that blinged out label, it's usually a fake (Chinatown, anyone?)  And if you know your bags, and you care about bags, then you can spot those fakes a mile away.

I'm betting that this "chickpea" color is going to be the hot go-to shade for spring, so go ahead....jump on the bandwagon now!
